Lisa Deam, Ph.D., is an award-winning writer and speaker who uses art of the Christian past to illuminate modern faith. A former professor, Lisa has lectured widely on medieval art in the United States and Europe. Today she speaks on the spiritual lessons of the Middle Ages (and the ancient faith more generally). She leads spiritual formation workshops that help participants map out their personal journeys with Christ. Lisa’s first book, A World Transformed: Exploring the Spirituality of Medieval Maps, was published in 2015 by Cascade. One of her articles, “Stigm(at)a,” won an award of excellence from the Associated Church Press.
